        Yeah, Carnegie Mellon University does provide scholarships based on merit. Here are some of them:

        Presidential Scholarship
        Minimum Criteria: Academic achievements
        Requirement for maintenance: satisfactory academic progress and full-time enrollment
        Separate application needed: No

        Carnegie Mellon University provides aids at an average of 44812 per student meeting 99% of students need. 100% of students with need receive financial aid at an average of 41167 need-based grant. They also provide other scholarships including Army ROTC Scholarships and Naval-Marine Corps ROTC Scholarships.
