Academy of Applied Hypnosis

Academy of Applied Hypnosis was founded in 1983 to meet the need for a professional training standard for Clinical Hypnotherapists, which is as high, as comprehensive and as soundly based as the training for any other of the health professions. The Academy was the first in Australia to achieve ASQA Accreditation for Vocational Training in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Because the Academy is mindful of the importance for Clinical Hypnotherapists to have in-depth knowledge of counselling, it integrates extensive counselling skills in our government qualifications. The Academy’s Training Programs have been developed over a number of years with input from a wide range of health professionals, including Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Medical Practitioners, Nurses, Naturopaths, Chiropractors and Clinical Hypnotherapists.

The courses offered are Certificate in Hypnosis, Certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Advanced Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. The median tuition cost in the academy is A$9410.
