Overview

The University of Stirling is a public university founded by Royal charter in 1967. It is a plate glass university located in the Central Belt of Scotland, built within the walled Airthrey Castle estate close to Stirling. Since its foundation, it has expanded to four faculties, a Management School, a Graduate School, and a number of institutes and centres covering a broad range of subjects in the academic areas of arts and humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and health sciences and sport.

The university campus is approximately 360 acres (1.5 km2) in size, incorporating the Stirling University Innovation Park and the Dementia Centre.

The university attracts students from a wide range of backgrounds, with more than 14,000 part-time and full-time students enrolled in the 2016/17 academic year. Stirling has international degree programme partnerships in China with Hebei Normal University, Singapore with Singapore Institute of Management, Oman and Vietnam. The university has two other Scottish campuses – in Inverness and Stornoway.

Eligibility and Requirements You must be classed as a student from England, Wales or Northern Ireland for tuition fee purposes. You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admissions for an eligible undergraduate programme at the University of Stirling. You must meet the conditions of your offer and choose Stirling as a firm or insurance choice on your UCAS application. You must be a full-time student. This scholarship is only available to students studying at our Stirling campus

Other Details The Undergraduate Choice scholarship provides a £1,000 cash award to all students from England, Wales or Northern Ireland who meet the conditions of their offer and select the University of Stirling as their Firm or Insurance choice on UCAS. Students will also be guaranteed a place in University-managed accommodation during their first year.
International Undergraduate Scholarship

Eligibility and Requirements You must be classed as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes. You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admissions for an eligible undergraduate programme at the University of Stirling. You must exceed the minimum conditions of the degree offer we make you. You must be a full-time international student. This award is only available to students entering directly into a full-time undergraduate degree programme, delivered at the University’s Stirling campus.

Other Details International Undergraduate Scholarship offers eligible students £2,000 per year (£8,000 over four years) towards the payment of annual fees. If you are eligible for this award, your annual fee payments will automatically be reduced by £2,000.
